CONNECTIONS PUBLIC CHARTER SCHOOL, HILO HAWAII

Please be patient while we build our site.

The "Makery Cloud" utilizes a combination of traditional skills and computer-controlled machines to enable teachers and students to design and create real objects and devices.

Evolved from a pilot project at the University of Hawaii, our Connections Makery program is designed to prepare High School and Middle School students for careers in high tech industries based on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM);  As well as "blue collar" careers as operators and programers in the broad range of industries that are adopting computer-based manufacturing systems in place of manual labor or imported products.

The "cloud" aspect of our connections program refers to our relationship to other Makery schools on the Big Island, the University of Hawaii, and eventually, institutions throughout the Pacific Rim .
